Remembering Who We Are: Awakening to Our Divine Nature

It is my belief that as human beings we forget that we are a part of everything—that we are everything. Our ego’s primary function is to keep us focused on the here and now, helping us navigate this earthly existence. However, in compensating for the emotional wounds and perceived deficiencies of our upbringing, the ego builds defenses and personality structures to make us feel whole. It forgets that, in truth, we are already whole—we are an expression of the divine, an aspect of Source itself.

This survival instinct, driven by fear of scarcity or rejection, may soon fade as humanity shifts into higher states of consciousness. As we recognize our true nature more fully, we begin to sense a deeper awareness and interconnectedness. We will no longer need to compensate for feelings of lack. In that higher state, we will remember that we are each a facet of Source experiencing the vastness of creation from a unique, individual perspective.

This awakening could be what some call enlightenment: being present in awe of everything, recognizing the world as a reflection of yourself, and knowing that you need not strive to become anything more—you already are all that is. When we remember this truth, the need to prove ourselves, to compensate, or to protect ourselves from imagined threats will dissolve. We will no longer feel separate or abandoned.

Instead of seeking wholeness in external achievements or relationships, we will know that true fulfillment lies within. We’ll see that there is nothing to fear—not even death—because we are eternal beings. Every moment will become sacred, not because it might be our last, but because it is an opportunity to experience creation as Source looking through our eyes. When we no longer fear, we no longer resist life. We accept what is, knowing that everything—both the “good” and the “bad”—is part of the divine whole.

Perhaps this is the real lesson: learning to love and accept ourselves completely, flaws and all, just as the Creator accepts and loves everything in existence. If we can embrace all parts of ourselves without judgment, we align more closely with our divine nature. We begin to see ourselves as Source does—perfect in our imperfections.

The Illusion of Separation and the Trap of Survival

One of the reasons we struggle with fear is that the human psyche forgets its true nature when it incarnates into the physical world. We believe we need to earn love, approval, and worth through achievements—by being "good," smart, attractive, or successful. We pursue survival at the expense of authenticity, masking our true selves to fit in, win acceptance, and avoid rejection.

This survival instinct ensures that we prioritize attachment over authenticity because belonging feels essential to our existence. But these behaviors keep us rooted in the third dimension, trapped in fear and forgetfulness, believing that we are separate from Source and from each other.

Awakening to the Divine Spark Within

Perhaps the purpose of life is simpler than we think: to remember that we are divine beings embodied in human form. We are each a spark of creation, an expression of the infinite. And maybe our only task is to allow life to unfold—without judgment, without striving—trusting that each experience is meaningful and sacred.

When we reconnect with this truth, we stop trying to prove our worth or control every outcome. We let go of the fear that has driven us for so long. And in doing so, we allow ourselves to simply be—to live as the divine beings we have always been, experiencing creation in all its wonder through this human form.

This is the gift of awakening: to know that we are already whole and to live with the freedom, peace, and joy that comes from embracing life exactly as it is.
